Hello from Steyer Content!

This is Kate Walton, Steyer’s owner and CEO. You are receiving this email because at some point in the past you signed up for Doppio or Steyer Wire, two newsletters we have since discontinued. If you would like to unsubscribe from our list, you can do that at any time. If you would like to know what’s next in store, please read on:

Going forward, I’ll be writing a short piece every other week. Titled Workings, this new missive is intended to do two things:

    1. Provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into life at Steyer; and
    2. Propel us more formally into the broader conversation about work and its ever-changing shape.

Some weeks, my email will read like a status report. For example, first up will be DEI at Steyer: what are our goals, what actions have we taken, and where are we now.

Other weeks, I’ll be zooming out. Sample topic: The employer-employee relationship: how has it changed and what are the many, current incarnations on a remote team in a gig economy?

And sometimes I’ll just aim to lighten the mood. For example: Can one eschew ALL emoji and still work effectively in Slack? I’ve got thoughts, and I can’t wait to share them.

I hope that many of you will stick around to give Workings a read. Either way, thank you for your interest to date in connecting with us. In a world chock-full of content, we deeply appreciate every subscriber who chooses us.

Thank you again!Kate
