Knowledge Base Tech Writer

We are looking for a technical writer with broad experience with knowledge base content for one of our large Redmond-based technology clients. In this role, you will help restructure and polish an internal knowledge base and assist with fine tuning operational processes for external documentation as well. You will help build out and enhance various onboarding content for different personas, and help craft more intuitive navigation paths for a robust library of knowledge base articles.

If you are the right fit, you know how to study large volumes of content and both streamline it and enhance it for a better onboarding experience. You know how to make operational tweaks to allow for more expedient content navigation and edits in an environment where product documentation is perennially evolving.

This is a 2-month contract engagement that can be done remotely. We'll only be able to respond to applicants who meet the basic qualifications for this role. We offer a strong benefits package for full-time employees:


  • 4+ years of experience working with knowledge base content
  • Exposure to working with onboarding environments
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Markdown and
  • Familiar with standard Markdown and source control
  • Basic knowledge of API documentation
