Usability Researcher

We are looking for a UX researcher to join our large Seattle-based tech client’s cloud-centric product team and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, designers, and engineers to infuse customer feedback and research findings into future iterations of the product. In this role you will be expected to employ different research methodologies including moderated and unmoderated usability studies, benchmarks, interviews, and surveys. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end research projects autonomously, and proactively working with stakeholders for study planning, executing on study plans, and delivering actionable research findings on time.

If you are the right fit, you have stellar communication skills and the ability to confidently defend and build consensus around your research to senior leadership, and how it may inform the future of the team’s products.

This is a full-time, contract engagement slated through the end of June 2023, and can be done fully remotely. Pay rate range, depending on experience level: 55-60/hr. W2.


  • 4+ years of mixed-method, experimental research experience on software products
  • Ability to autonomously drive E2E research projects that include planning, data collection, analysis, and delivering results to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in running usability studies, interviews, and surveys
  • Confidence to deliver actionable, timely, and quality research findings and rich customer data to counterparts across multiple disciplines (including design and engineering) to drive useful product changes
  • BA or MA/MS in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
