We are seeking an efficient technical writer with strong editing skills to join the security tools team for one of our large, Redmond-based tech clients. In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts and software developers to gather information and ultimately write and edit clear and polished user guides, technical manuals, knowledge base articles, and newsletters for customer facing services. You will create and maintain a style guide to ensure consistency across the team’s marketing libraries, participate in usability testing to identify areas of improvement in documentation, and make overall enhancements to content architecture, internal workflows, topic structure and discoverability.
If you are the right fit, you have a keen attention to detail and are able to understand and/or ramp up on technical topics quickly to effectively write about these topics and distill content into something broader customer audiences can understand. You are a strong collaborator, and passionate about partnering with stakeholders to ensure customers understand data governance and critical security topics.
This is a full time, remote, contract engagement initially approved through June, but the team has indicated that the role will likely extend the full 18. months. We will only be able to respond to applicants who meet the basic qualifications for this role. We offer a strong benefits package for full-time employees, including insurance coverage, paid time off, sick leave, wellness days, and access to ongoing learning resources: http://steyer.net/benefits.
