Microsoft, FastTrack Success by Design for Dynamics 365

To help clients achieve their digital transformation goals, Microsoft’s FastTrack Success by Design for Dynamics 365 team develops and distributes a wide array of collateral guiding users towards impactful outcomes. One particularly substantive piece, a 700+ page implementation guide, required careful coordination between contributing subject-matter experts, writers, and graphic designers to create a cohesive and valuable learning tool.
To achieve this, Microsoft engaged Steyer Content to edit, design, and prepare the book for publication.
For Steyer’s part, we:
- Assembled a team of writers, editors, and graphic designers, all led by a project manager, to complete the book on time
- Supplied end-to-end graphic design support, including the creation of graphs and diagrams while also stitching the entire book together with an engaging, cohesive layout, incorporating case studies and actionable checklists
- Finalized copy with subject-matter experts, updating language to match style guide requirements while also filling in content gaps. Additionally, writers provided chapter summaries now published on Microsoft Learn
- Proofed the entire text for technical accuracy, voice, grammar, and style and performed a full review of all URLs in this heavily linked document
- Sourced pricing for publication, including cost and production schedule
- Managed weekly meetings, establishing a clear workback with review cycles to complete the project on time and within budget
- Provided continued support for twice yearly new editions, including edits, graphic design, and layout for new content
